Let's Try Something Tasty!

OVERNIGHT OATS – QUICK MEAL THAT’S GREAT FOR ANY TIME OF THE DAY!

Ingredients 

1. Oats (old fashioned)
2. Any nut butter
3. Greek yogurt (any flavor)
4. Almond milk (or any milk)
5. Flax seeds
6. Banana
7. 1 mason jar

 Method

Get a pint sized Mason Jar.

1. Layer 1/2 Cup of plain old fashioned oats.
2. Layer 1 container or 1 cup of Greek Yogurt. (I say Greek because it is thick and will make for a better final dish)
3. Add 1tbs of Flax Seed (Great source of Fiber)
4. Add 1 tbs of Peanut Butter or any kind of nut butter.
5. Cut up half a banana and layer on top of everything.
6. Pour 1/3 cup of milk over all layers.
7. Let it sit for overnight and enjoy!

This is a great recipe to try in many different flavors. Add berries, try different flavors of yogurt, add nuts, throw in some chocolate, whatever your heart desires!!!

Happy New Year! What’s New for You?!

At the start of every New Year we make a list of goals to tackle for the next 365 days. So how do you keep the resolutions to save money, lose weight, or take the trip of a lifetime? 

Check out the tips below on how to successfully stay on pace to reach your goals:

1. Be realistic. Make your goal attainable
2. Think ahead. Planning for the future instead of leaving things to chance will help put key pieces in place
3. Design a reward system. Working toward a goal with mini celebrations along the way are ways to encourage yourself
4. Have a goal buddy. Pick someone you can trust to confide in and help hold you accountable
5. Make a pro and con list. Figure out what the good and bad of attaining your goal will be so you can adjust as needed in the process to success
6. Track your progress. Seeing the little wins along the way will help keep your focus 
7. Be kind. Don’t beat yourself up if you fall short at times. It’s a process, and that’s why you have 365 days to reach the finish line 

No matter your goal, be proud you are challenging yourself to something new. This time next year you’ll be happy you did!

Hey you!

Welcome back to Ames! it’s almost that time again for long nights of studying and even longer days of classes. However, do you know what the best part about fall classes starting is? College football is starting. Start your semester off strong so you don’t have to miss a game! As you move in to your new apartment make sure you know where all of your resources are on site such as computer labs, meeting rooms for studying, and gyms to work off the stress!
